The third annual takes place in the GMIT, Castlebar, on Saturday, January 12, 2019 (10am to 12noon).
Last year, over 600 students, parents and teachers attended the event, organised by the South Mayo GAA board, the Mayo GAA Coaching Committee, Sli Nua Careers, with financial support from St Jarlath’s Credit Union, Tuam; Claremorris/Ballinrobe Credit Union; and South West Mayo Development Company’s Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme.
The purpose of the event is to arm students and families with key information on the options available to them upon completing second-level education. Admission is free of charge for everyone – students, families, teachers, exhibitors and even adults who are looking at career options or choices.
Full details will be announced in the coming weeks, including our exciting line-up of guest speakers. Previous speakers have included the then Taoiseach Enda Kenny (2017) and the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Harry Hughes (2018).
