“I lost my job in 2010 after 18 years within the construction sector due to the economic downturn. I had developed my career up to a point of project manager with responsibility for several construction sites. I chose to return to education and have now completed a business degree and masters degree. I really want to pursue a career in a new sector but I’m concerned that potential employers won’t see beyond the construction project manager aspect of my previous career. Any advice would be appreciated.” – DL.
