Focused work pays off in job interviews
By Mary O’Brien-Killeen, Career Coach, Sli Nua Careers (Claremorris)
I just had a client call me today to say she got the job – and I’m not surprised because she focused totally on getting it.
No matter how well you think you have prepared for your interview, there is still a tremendous amount to learn and research, whether it is about the company you are going for or changes in that sector – up to the morning of the interview one should always be looking, searching and practising.
The old adage “practice makes perfect” can be replaced by “practice is one step more towards your goal”.
