Using our enhanced awareness of you, we will guide this exploration, and challenge you where appropriate, but, ultimately, all decisions are made by you. We will look at your strengths, weaknesses, interests, previous roles, hobbies and so on.

As this session progresses, we will identify certain actions you will look at taking in the days and weeks after the session. These actions may include the following, or others:

• • Shadow employee(s) working in an area that we identify as having potential for you;
  • Talk to employer(s) in areas of potential for you;
  • Research courses / programmes that could support you in transition to certain new sector(s) – these could be long courses, short courses, online courses, ‘physical’ courses – whatever suggests itself from our session;
  • Research careers through online research, visit libraries, and so on.

Generally, this approach helps our clients gain the insights they require, and the actions they need to take to make the necessary changes in their careers. The actions we choose will form your Career Action Plan that you will execute in the days and weeks after our meeting. 

After this session, you may need further assistance in the areas of Course Selection and Goal-setting – however, this will only become apparent during the face-to-face/Skype session as each client’s needs are different.
